Clarks Ace Hardware-Columbia is holding a grand opening celebration event for Labor Day weekend beginning Friday, Sept. 2, through Monday, Sept. 5.
America’s most celebrated “helpful place” is having its grand opening this weekend in Columbia, Maryland. Clarks Ace Hardware-Columbia brings the company’s unique blend of personal, knowledgeable and helpful service, paired with quality home maintenance expertise and products to Columbia residents. The store is located at 8895 McGaw Road, and standard operating hours are Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"Grand opening weekend is almost here! Join us as we celebrate this Labor Day weekend," the company wrote in a Sept. 1 Facebook post.
The weekend long celebration is focused around Saturday's events.
"One week til our grand opening block party! Stop by next Saturday, Sept. 3, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m You don’t want to miss Aya Blaine from The Chainsaw Chix, performances, competition, sculptors. She will be carving wood sculptures with her STIHL chainsaw at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m.," according to an Aug. 27 Facebook post. "Sales! Grill demos with the Big Green Egg. Giveaways! Lunch visits from 410 BBQ Food Truck and Kona Ice of Howard County."
Customers can come in and and take advantage of sales and exclusive offers beginning Friday, Sept. 2, with $10 propane refills. Saturday, Clarks Ace Hardware is offering free Ace buckets to the first 200 customers, plus 20% off and a chance to enter and win a Weber Spirit II E210 Gas Grill valued at $459. Sunday's exclusive offer is 50% off any one regular-price item under $30, while Monday brings the chance for customers to get 50% off one dog wash.
Clarks Ace Hardware is a local family-owned business that started 175 years ago in 1845 when John L. Clark opened Clarks Farm Supplies in Ellicott City, Maryland. The Clark family is now the third-oldest family hardware store in America. Clarks Ace Hardware is currently operated and owned by Margaret Clark as the seventh generation to run the family business.
