Anne Arundel County Board-Edu recently issued the following announcement.
The free Family Involvement Conference brings families, community members and educators together to address the issues that are vital to the academic success and overall well-being of our children. The conference is presented by the Office of School & Family Partnerships and is based upon the premise that active family involvement in the education process is the key to effective schools and student achievement. Presented by the Office of School & Family Partnerships. Participants at the conference will be able to choose two workshops to attend from a variety of different topics including “Put that Down and Look at Me—Whose Faces are Screens Replacing?,” “Strategies for the ADHD Brain,” and “Fostering Academic Mindsets: Launching into College.” Continental breakfast and snacks will be provided. Registration for this free conference will open in mid-October. Free child care is available for ages 3-12 but spaces are limited. Pre-registration for child care will also open in mid-October.
