Office of the State's Attorney for Howard County issued the following announcement on Nov. 28.
A Howard County project to demolish and decommission the former North Laurel wastewater pumping station near 10129 North 2nd Street in North Laurel is under way. The building will be removed and the site will be regraded and restored using turf landscaping. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early March 2019.
The current North Laurel pumping station, just northeast of the former, has been in operation since 2015.
The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic in the area. Signs will be posted at the site to advise motorists of the project.
