HOWARD COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL & ADOPTION CENTER: Howard County Department of Public Works to host public meeting on Manors of Oakwood Pond Repair Project

Meeting 02

Howard County Animal Control & Adoption Center issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.

Howard County’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the Belmont Conference Room at the Howard County Library’s Elkridge branch located at 6540 Washington Boulevard, to discuss the pond at 4616 Chatsworth Way in Ellicott City.

The overall project may also involve work in the stream south of the culvert under Widdup Court and modification to another pond located on the north side of Widdup Court between 4709 and 4721 Widdup Court.

The informal meeting will include an overview of the proposed design and Maryland Department of the Environment safety criteria, followed by an open discussion. County staff and the project’s design team, comprised of Stantec and Straughan Environmental, Inc., will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.

Those unable to attend the meeting who would like to view the proposed plans and/or have questions regarding the project should contact Mr. Brian Cleary with the DPW’s Stormwater Management Division at 410-313-6455 or email bcleary@howardcountymd.gov.
