Howard County Historical Society Board of Directors issued the following announcement on Oct. 4.
The Howard County Historical Society Archives and Reading Room in the miller Branch Library is a wonderful resource for teachers and students who are working on National History Day projects. This year's theme is "TRIUMPH & TRAGEDY IN HISTORY". We have numerous primary and secondary sources in our archives on local history topics that can be used for projects. Our hours are Mondays and Tuesdays 1:00 - 8:00; Wednesdays - Saturday 1:00 - 5:00. On Monday nights, our Deputy Director Paulette Lutz, will hold an open house for teachers and students from 6:00 - 8:00, helping choose and research topics.
