DTC Partnership issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
Looking forward to the weekend and this year's Plein Air Paint Out Competition as artists head outside to paint the landscapes of Wilde Lake and Lake Kittamaqundi.
"Columbia Art Center's second annual Color Columbia: Plein Air Paint Out will take place on Saturday, September 8 from 8:30am-5pm. Visitors are invited to tour the painting sites at both lakes and watch along as the artists create and complete their works. Site maps will be available at the welcome booth at Lake Kittamaqundi."
For those of us without an artistic bone in our bodies, there will be music provided by a DJ, plus poetry readings, and a pop-up gallery shop featuring art for sale by the plein air participants.
