Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department issued the following announcement on July 4.
Engine 124 responded to 10500 Block of Marriottsville Road in Baltimore County for reported house on fire. Units from Baltimore County arrived on the scene and reported smoke from the roof area of a two story house.
Engine 124 arrived and assisted interior crews with fire extinguishment and overhaul.
Crews worked for about an hour before returning to Sykesville.
