Columbia Association issued the following announcement on June 30.
We've awarded six Howard County students with a Spirit of Columbia Scholarship. We will be spotlighting these recipients over the next couple of weeks. This week, we're spotlighting Andrea Orpia, a Wilde Lake High School graduate.
College/University Attending: University of Maryland
Major: Biology (pre-med track)
Career Goal: Become a doctor
What I love most about Columbia: The people! We have a very diverse community. Everyone is incredibly friendly, supportive and accepting, which I believe makes Columbia such a special place. There are also lots of great places to eat and shop.
