HOWARD COUNTY CENTER FOR THE ARTS: Employment Opportunity – Gallery and Programs Assistant

Howard County Center For The Arts issued the following announcement on June 15.

The Howard County Arts Council, a multi-purpose non-profit arts agency, seeks a self-directed, outgoing individual for an entry to mid-level Gallery and Programs position in a small, fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: administration of exhibits, coordination of installations, and maintenance of galleries; scheduling and providing administrative support for educational programs and offerings; providing web and social media updates to Web and Community Relations staff person; design, printing, and mailing of invitations and brochures by set deadlines; coordinating mailings; taking committee minutes and handling related correspondence; administering The Gallery Shop; answering and directing calls; greeting Center visitors; and providing general administrative office support.

Must be able to use a personal computer and be proficient in Microsoft Office and/or similar applications. Gallery exhibit installation and coordination experience strongly preferred, Salesforce and Access experience desired. Must have own transportation; be able to operate an automobile, computers, and related office equipment; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; remain seated or standing for long periods of time; and bend, stoop, reach, and climb without difficulty.

This is a full-time, entry to mid-level position in a mid-sized non-profit arts organization; occasional evening/week-end hours are required. Position reports to the Deputy Director.
