Cost of college went down for all students at Lincoln College of Technology-Columbia

Tuition and fees fell 16.1 percent for 2017-18 at Lincoln College of Technology-Columbia, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Maryland students paid $26,172 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year $5,004 less than the $31,176 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 86 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 341 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.43 million and 401 students took out student loans totaling more than $3 million.

Including all undergraduates, 664 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.75 million. Another 784 took out $5.86 million in federal student loans.
