Leadership Howard County issued the following announcement on July 18.

Leadership Howard County, which seeks to empower leaders to strengthen and transform the community, appointed four new board members:

Ann Kedia is a lecturer and program committee member at the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and program manager at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory’s Innovation Program. Kedia graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2018 and has a Master of Science in technical management from Johns Hopkins University as well as a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Cornell University. She lives in Ellicott City.

Joseph Garrison is a partner and senior advisor at StratWealth, where he has 19 years of experience in financial planning. Garrison graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2010. Since then, he has served on the organization’s finance committee and as the vice chair and chair of the general membership committee. He earned the accredited investment fiduciary designation in 2014 and the certified financial planner designation in 2003 and is a graduate of Western Maryland College (now known as McDaniel College) with degrees in business administration and accounting. He lives in Columbia.

Tracy Miller owns Tracy Miller Law LLC, where she practices family law and estate planning. She graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2017 and since then has served as a class representative and on the learning enhancement committee. Miller holds a law degree from the University of Baltimore, an MBA from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Hampton University. She lives in Columbia.

Wynne Hayes is the chief information officer of Howard County’s Department of Technology and Communication Services. She graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2011. As a returning board member, she served as the organization’s recruitment committee co-chair and on the overarching issues programs committee. Hayes holds an MBA from Loyola University Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in operational research and industrial engineering from Cornell University. She lives in Ellicott City.

Leadership Howard County also elected the following board officers:

Alex Adler was elected chair of the board. Adler is a private advisor at BB&T and graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2010.

Anne Brinker was elected vice chair of the board. Brinker is the vice president of the Community Action Council of Howard County and graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2014.

Amrita Rai was elected secretary of the board. Rai is the managing director of Percepian LLC and graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2016.

Bruce Hollander was elected treasurer of the board. Hollander is the senior vice president at Revere Bank and graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 1999.

Kari Staddon was elected general membership chair of the board. Staddon is the director of development of the Howard County chapter of the United Way of Central Maryland and graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 1998.

Paul Skalny was elected general counsel of the board. Skalny is an attorney at and the managing director of Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny LLC and graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 1998.
