At Howard Community College, 64 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students – age 24 or younger – and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The two-year public institution in Columbia enrolled 9,476 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 8.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.
92 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maryland, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.
The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (34 percent) and Black or African American (30 percent).
