HopeWorks of Howard County issued the following announcement on July 31.

In 2013, the United Nations (UN) chose July 30 as the day to “raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights.” But before working toward these goals, it’s important to understand whose rights this day aims to protect. Here’s some basic info on what trafficking really is, and what you can do to help stop it.
